SP Motorsports welcomed members of the Porsche Club of America Golden Gate Region (PCA GGR) for a great day centered around Porsche, motorsport, and the community that brings it all together. The shop filled up with an incredible mix of Porsches, from street cars to purpose built track machines, giving everyone plenty to look at while catching up with fellow enthusiasts and spending some time with the SP Motorsports team.

Throughout the day, guests had the chance to walk around the shop, check out SP Motorsports products, talk through setups and maintenance, and get a closer look at what goes on behind the scenes. Between the cars, the conversations, and a great lunch, the atmosphere stayed relaxed and gave everyone plenty of time to connect.

One of the highlights of the day was hearing from our customer Max, who shared his experience building his Spec Boxster from the ground up. Hearing the story behind the car, the decisions that went into the build, and the experience of developing it was a great way to bring the enthusiast side of the community into the conversation. A huge thank you to Max for taking the time to share his story and give everyone a look into what goes into building and developing a car from the ground up.

All of the conversations throughout the day ultimately led into the afternoon’s one hour technical presentation, focused on a question every Porsche owner eventually faces: how do you choose the right shop and service partner for your car?

The discussion covered what owners should look for in a shop, the importance of experience and technical knowledge, questions worth asking before handing over the keys, and some of the warning signs to keep in mind. More importantly, the conversation was about finding a service partner who understands what you actually want from your car, whether that’s keeping a street car running its best, getting ready for track days, or building something with serious performance in mind.

To wrap up the day, we held a raffle featuring SP Motorsports merchandise and some of our favorite shop swag, giving a few guests something extra to take home. A big thank you to PCA GGR and everyone who came out and spent the day with us. We really enjoyed having everyone at the shop, sharing stories, talking cars, and getting the chance to learn from one another. It’s days like this that make the Porsche community so special, and we’re looking forward to doing more of them.
