If you’re looking to maximize the performance of your 992 GT3 RS on track, our 19-inch Forgeline Wheel Package was developed around three key objectives:

Rather than piecing these components together individually, we engineered them as a complete system that has been extensively tested on our own 992 GT3 RS.

The larger tire package increases the contact patch at both ends of the car, delivering improved mechanical grip, better chassis balance, and greater confidence through every phase of the corner. Our preferred tire configurations include the Hoosier R8 for dedicated track use and the Hoosier Track Attack Pro for drivers looking for a dual-purpose street and track setup.

The Forgeline GS1R provides the ideal balance of strength, durability, and weight while allowing the use of a significantly larger track-focused tire package. Although the front wheel weight is comparable to the OEM forged wheel, the rear saves approximately 5.5 pounds per wheel, reducing unsprung and rotating mass while improving overall performance.

Why We Developed This Package

As we’ve continued developing the Porsche 992 GT3 RS through extensive testing at tracks throughout California, our goal has always been to maximize the platform’s overall performance without compromising reliability. Through that development, we found that moving to a 19-inch wheel package unlocked the ability to run larger front and rear tires while pairing them with a race-proven forged wheel that offered exceptional strength and reduced weight. The only challenge introduced by the conversion was interference with the factory brake cooling ducts.

Originally developed for IMSA Grand Sport competition, the Forgeline GS1R combines one-piece forged monoblock construction with a lightweight I-beam spoke design to deliver exceptional strength, durability, and consistency under demanding track conditions. Combined with a 2,100-pound load rating, it provides the confidence required for repeated HPDE events, Time Trials, and club racing. For us, the GS1R wasn’t selected simply because it was lightweight. It was chosen because it delivers the durability and reliability expected from a wheel designed for professional motorsport.

SP Motorsports Brake Duct Kit

To complement the wheel package, we designed the SP Motorsports Brake Duct Kit specifically for the 19-inch conversion.
The direct bolt-on ducts eliminate interference with the smaller front wheel while maintaining effective airflow to the front brakes. This preserves brake cooling performance while ensuring the entire package functions as intended.

Developed as a Complete System

Every component in this package has been validated through extensive real-world testing on our own 992 GT3 RS. From the Forgeline wheels and optimized tire package to the brake duct solution, each piece was selected to complement the others. The result is a complete wheel package that delivers increased grip, reduced weight, improved handling, and reliable brake cooling in one proven system.
