This isn’t simply a larger brake package. It’s a motorsports-derived system engineered to maintain consistent braking performance throughout an entire session. The kit uses lightweight forged aluminum calipers that weigh less than seven pounds each, compared to the factory 10.5-pound calipers, while maintaining exceptional rigidity. Staggered piston sizing promotes even pad wear while retaining full compatibility with the factory master cylinder, ABS, and brake balance, preserving the confidence and predictability of the OEM system.

One of the biggest advantages of the Alcon system is its use of true endurance racing brake pads. The front calipers accept massive 25 mm thick pads, while the rears use 20 mm pads, compared to just 18 mm on the factory setup. That additional pad volume significantly increases usable material, extending service life, improving heat capacity, and reducing the frequency and overall cost of pad replacements for drivers spending serious time on track.

Engineered to Stay Cool

The rotors continue to add performance through their fully floating two-piece construction and directional 48-vane internal cooling design. Rather than simply venting heat, the vane geometry actively pumps cool air through the rotor, improving cooling efficiency by up to 30% compared to the OE design while significantly increasing crack resistance during repeated high-energy braking zones. That consistency becomes especially valuable during longer sessions where brake temperatures continue to climb lap after lap.

Another feature we really appreciate is that every rotor and pad set is dyno bedded before shipping. That means no lengthy bedding procedure after installation and less concern about introducing uneven pad deposits or thermal shock during the first track day.
